In the following work it is carried out a selection of alternative as for the obtaining of sulfur solid starting from hydrogen sulfide coming from the absorption with alkanoamines of the sour gases coming from the hidrofining of diesel. The different existent technologies were compared in the world for the recovery of sulfur, keeping in mind their advantages and disadvantages. The selected alternative is the process of Claus, for its high efficiency in the recovery of sulfur. Was carried out a technician-economic evaluation of the installation where the main equipment of the plant was designed. Was carried out a simulation to modulate sequential using the Professional Software Hysys 3.2 and the PSI v.1993 where a yield of the sulfur was obtained above 95%. They were carried out cases of study with the objective of observing the behavior of the system in the face of changes of diverse operational variables as: the profile of temperature in the reactor, the flow of feeding air, the flow of sour gas and the conversion in the reactor. After the economic evaluation of the investment project he/she was a net current value (VAN) up to 24,8 MM$/a, an internal rate of return (TIR) of 80% and a period of recovery of the investment (PRD) of 1.6 years, what demonstrates that the same one is feasible.
