The present work addresses the obtaining of alloy Cu-Zn system for coating of rings synchronous gearboxes. It conducted a theoretical foundation the aspects related to of the wear and the materials present in the synchronous mechanism. Is defined as essential wear mechanism which operates in the pair-synchronous ring, adhesive wear was defined as its recovery possible by welding. From disposed rings is obtained by fusion in graphite mold and pouring an alloy Cu-Zn system such as filler material for the recharge of the Rings for OAW. Characterization is performed from the source material and obtained by fusion with oxyacetylene flame including chemical composition, microstructure, hardness and measurement of adhesive wear comparative test according to ASTM G 77. We conclude that the alloy obtained has better wear performance than the original alloy rings.
