Resumen
La denominada "industria sin humo o sin chimenea" es un fenómeno característico e
irreversible de la época actual. Constituye una de las actividades económicas más
importantes para los países de la región caribeña, al ser la principal fuente de ingresos
de muchas de ellas. En Cuba, aunque no con el peso que ocupó durante los años 90,
clasifica como uno de los rublos más importantes dentro del ordenamiento por sectores
en los territorios. Las tendencias en el siglo XXI muestran que, sin pretender despreciar
la supervivencia del turismo de sol y playa, se producirá un incremento hacia
modalidades como el turismo histórico-cultural. La validez y reconocimiento a escala
nacional e internacional del patrimonio trinitario, ubican a la tercera villa en una posición
privilegiada para potenciar el lugar y papel de esta modalidad turística como motor
impulsor de su propio desarrollo.
El trabajo, estructurado en tres capítulos y titulado: El turismo como factor de desarrollo
económico local: Trinidad de Cuba, ciudad de alto valor patrimonial , propone un
procedimiento y diagnostica el estado actual de los recursos histórico-culturales del
territorio, validando los resultados obtenidos a través del criterio de especialistas. Como
resultado del mismo (diagnóstico) se proponen paradigmas (visión, líneas y objetivos
estratégicos) que contribuyen a la elaboración de la estrategia de desarrollo económico
local para Trinidad en base a estos recursos. Fue posible arribar a conclusiones y
recomendaciones de interés teórico-conceptuales, científico-investigativas y prácticas,
que en su momento contribuirán en alguna medida a mejorar el estado actual del objeto
de estudio en la región trinitaria.
The denominated "smokeless industry" is a characteristic and irreversible phenomenon of the current time. It constitutes one of the most important economic activities for the countries of the Caribbean region, because it represents the main source of revenues for most of them. In Cuba, although not with the position occupied during the 90s, classifies like one of the most important rubles inside the classification for sectors in the territories. The tendencies in the XXI century show that, without seeking to reject the survival of the tourism of sun and beach, an increment will take place toward modalities like the historical-cultural tourism. The validity and recognition as many as national and international scale of the Trinitarian patrimony, locate to the third village in a privileged position for give potency to the place and paper of this tourist modality as impeller motor of their own development. The work, structured in three chapters and titled: The tourism like factor of local economic development: Trinidad of Cuba, city of high patrimonial value, proposes a procedure and diagnoses the current state of the historical-cultural resources of the territory, validating the obtained results through the approach of specialists. As a result of the same one (diagnostic) are intended paradigms (vision, lines and strategic objectives) that contributes to the elaboration of the strategy of economic local development for Trinidad based on these resources. It was possible to arrive to conclusions and practical recommendation of theoretical-conceptual and scientific-investigative interest that will contribute in some measure to improve the current state of the study object in the Trinitarian region.
