In this paper there is exposed the theoretical-referential frame of the research work, emphasizing in the contributions of the Computer Assisted Instruction and the Artificial Intelligence for the development of the teaching-learning process in order to obtain educational systems with an intelligent behavior and adapt the interaction to the student characteristics. It is developed a procedure that combine the Concept Maps and the Bayesian Networks to elaborate Intelligent Teaching-Learning Systems, giving the students the possibility to develop different kinds of inferences. These inferences also allow to the elaborated systems adapt their behavior to the characteristics of the students, taking into consideration their cognitive state and giving them a behavior report, which can be consulted by the teacher to guide the study and to increase their abilities. It’s guaranteed that the navigation in the Concept Maps is made in a guided way unlike how they are implemented in most of the systems that use this form of organization of the knowledge. This procedure is implemented in a computational tool called MacBay. Its functionality is that this tool permits to elaborate Intelligent Teaching-Learning Systems for different knowledge domains and different educational levels and could be used by teachers not necessarily laymen in Computer Science. Finally, it is shown the viability of the procedure by a comparison of the results obtained with a case of study by Weka (Waikato for Environment Knowledge Analysis) and MacBay. In addition it’s estimated the personal satisfaction of the teachers, about the facilities for the work that the tool offers.
