Estudio de la salud mental en escolares a partir de la mediatización de la función educativa familiar.

Resumen
La presente investigación se realizó en la escuela primaria José Antonio Saco ubicada en la provincia de Cienfuegos con un grupo de niños supuestamente sanos con el objetivo de analizar las particularidades de la salud mental a partir de la mediatización de la función educativa de la familia en un grupo de escolares de 8 a 10 años. El estudio se sustenta en un Paradigma Mixto de Investigación desde un diseño de dos etapas, que permite la transformación y combinación de datos cualitativos y cuantitativos. La selección de la muestra se realizó mediante un muestreo no probabilístico quedando conformada por 30 niños entre las edades de 8-10 años y sus respectivas familias. Se utilizaron técnicas tanto estandarizadas como proyectivas. La información obtenida fue analizada mediante el análisis de contenido y la triangulación teórica, de fuentes y de métodos así como análisis porcentuales. Se constata que aunque existe salud mental en el grupo de escolares, el equilibrio entre los factores de riesgo y protectores se percibe de manera distinta en dos grupos; existiendo un grupo con salud mental vulnerable y otro con salud mental sin vulnerabilidad. Estas diferencias están mediatizadas por el cumplimiento e intencionalidad de la suprafunción educativa, partiendo de un equilibrio en las funciones económica, biosocial y cultural.
The present investigation was carried out in the primary school José Antonio Saco located in the county of Cienfuegos with a group of supposedly healthy children with the objective of analyzing the particularities of their mental health starting from the educational function of the family in a group of scholars’ ages 8 to 10 years. The study is sustained in a Mixed Paradigm of Investigation from a design of two stages that allows the transformation and the combination of qualitative and quantitative data. The selection of the sample was carried out by means of a sampling non probabilistic which was conformed by 30 children between the 8-10 year old and their respective families. Standardized techniques such as projects were used. The obtained information was analyzed by means of the content analysis and the theoretical triangulation, of sources and of methods as well as percentage analysis. It is verified that although mental health exists in the group of scholars, the balance between the risk factors and protective factors’ it is perceived in a different way in two groups; there exist a group with vulnerable mental health and another with mental health without vulnerability. These differences are mediated by the execution and premeditation of the educational function, leaving of a balance in the economic functions, biosocial and cultural.
