Variación interanual y grado de repercusión de la malacofauna fluvial y terrestre en la salud humana y animal en el municipio Santa Clara, Cuba

Abstract

La investigación se realizó con el propósito de determinar variación interanual y el grado de repercusión de la malacofauna fluvial y terrestre del municipio Santa Clara, Cuba en la salud humana y animal durante el periodo 2012-2016. Las especies más representativas en los moluscos fluviales fueron Physella acuta Dreparnaud, 1805 y Pomacea poeyana (Pilsbry, 1927); y entre los terrestres Praticolella griseola Pfeiffer, 1841. Se observó variación interanual en los índices de diversidad alfa de la malacofauna fluvial y terrestre. Los dendrogramas de similaridad según el método de Ward entre la malacofauna fluvial y terrestre reflejan la formación de dos grupos de años, uno (2012 y 2013), y otro grupo (2014, 2015 y 2016). Los resultados evidencian una amplia variedad de especies de moluscos de importancia médica que pudieran constituir un riesgo epidemiológico por helmintos para angistrongilosis, fasciolosis, esquistosomosis y paragonimiosis.

The research was carried out with the purpose of determining year-to-year variation and the degree of repercussion of the fluvial and terrestrial malacofauna of Santa Clara municipality, Cuba in the human and animal health during the period 2012-2016. The most representative species in fluvial molluscs were Physella acuta Dreparnaud, 1805 and Pomacea poeyana (Pilsbry, 1927); and among the terrestrials Praticolella griseola Pfeiffer, 1841. Interannual variation was observed in the alpha diversity indices of the fluvial and terrestrial malacofauna. The similarity dendrograms according to the Ward method between the fluvial and terrestrial malacofauna reflects the formation of two groups of years, one (2012 and 2013), and another group (2014, 2015 and 2016). The results show a wide variety of mollusc species of medical importance that could constitute an epidemiological risk for helminths for angistrongilosis, fasciolosis, schistosomiasis and paragonimiosis.
