Desde el propio nacimiento de los medios de comunicación, las tecnologías han estado mediando en ellos pero con lo avances de las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y las Comuunicaciones se desata todo un proceso globalizador que viene a cambiar antiguas concepciones sobre lo que es la comunicación y su alcance. Sobre todo porqe se rompren barreras por una parte, a pesar de la brecha digital, aparecen nuevas oportunidades para grupos sociales vulnerables. Asimismo aún continúan siendo retos de los gobiernos y otras organizaciones contribuir con el acceso en igualdad de oportunidades para todos los usuarios.Through the following article the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed that the use of Internet by the vulnerable social groups has, as well as to suggest alternatives to draw for the barriers generated by technological means. The paper part to consider the advantages of the Internet, mainly like mass media that allow the active interaction between the users, exceeding the limits established by the traditional paradigm of information transmission. From this the vulnerable groups and the digital breaches define themselves that these face. At the same time alternative proposals have left that can surpass these breaches.
