It assumes the existence of a CDW market where the generating actors become suppliers and the facilities capable of transforming them into plaintiffs. Conceptual aspects linked to this type of waste, its classification and integral management are addressed. The best international practices in terms of CDW management and national experiences are analyzed. Cuba has unsystematic experiences in this type of production, since it has not been possible to carry out a good planning that allows reaching a high level of organization, the market for these wastes is not known, because there are no laws oriented to this alternative product and As a consequence, the correct execution and control of it is not achieved. Taking advantage of the CDW is vital for the protection of the ecosystem, which favors sustainable development. The diagnosis made in the province of Villa Clara allows knowing the existence of the market of this type of waste through the proposal of two steps: the estimation of the generation of CDW in the territory and the determination of the demand for the current conditions.esEste documento es Propiedad Patrimonial de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas.
