El objetivo general está dirigido a mejorar el Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo en la facultad de forma tal que garantice la identificación de peligros, la evaluación y el control de los riesgos laborales en aras de contribuir a una mejor gestión. Para el cumplimiento de los objetivos propuestos se utilizaron métodos y técnicas que permiten obtener veracidad en los resultados y brindan un soporte científico a la investigación, entre los que se destacan: las entrevistas individuales, la observación directa, las listas de chequeo, el análisis de documentos y registros de la entidad, entre otros. Entre los principales resultados obtenidos con la aplicación de la lista de chequeo se destacan el inventario de riesgos laborales, así como el programa de prevención actualizado del programa de gestión de la seguridad y salud del trabajo (SST) para la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica e Industrial.The subject of the current research is the contribution to the improvement of the Security and Health at the Workplace in the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering located at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas. The general objective is improving the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the faculty in such a way as to guarantee the identification of hazards, the evaluation and control of occupational hazards in order to contribute to a better management. For the fulfillment of the proposed objectives, methods and techniques were used to obtain truthfulness in the results and provide scientific support to the research, among which stand out: individual interviews, direct observation, checklists, analysis of documents and records of the entity, among others.
