Como parte de las herramientas se utilizó el método de los grados-días. Se determinó la temperatura base para los hoteles Los Caneyes y América. Se determinó la estructura y consumo de los principales portadores energéticos de las instalaciones hoteleras estudiadas obteniendo como resultado que es la Energía Eléctrica la de mayor consumo con respecto a los demás portadores energéticos. Se logró la línea base energética del hotel los Caneyes no siendo posible para el hotel América.
