Resumen
El trabajo evaluó el extracto acuoso de Boldoa purpurascens sobre la germinación de
Leucaena leucocephala, la identificación y cuantificación de sus proteínas. Se colectó
B. purpurascens en el campus universitario entre febrero y marzo de 2014. Se realizó
una corrida electroforética de proteínas en geles desnaturalizantes de poliacrilamida y
se aplicó el método analítico de cuantificación de Bradford. Se analizaron dos factores:
órganos de B. purpurascens (hojas, flores, tallos) y dosis: 5, 10, 15 mL; por aplicación
directa y por imbibición de las semillas. Los extractos se compararon con métodos
convencionales de escarificación: agua 80oC (2min.), agua 10oC (2min.) y ácido
sulfúrico (5min.). Se identificaron proteínas de bajo peso molecular entre 10-70 kDa,
con mayor concentración en hojas (5.62 mg·mL-1), flores (2.39 mg·mL-1) y corteza (1.02
mg·mL-1), en ese orden. Los extractos lograron promover la germinación de semillas de
L. leucocephala de igual forma que los métodos convencionales de escarificación, in
vitro y en campo. Se comprobó mayor germinación cuando se imbibieron las semillas
que cuando se aplicó el extracto directamente. La combinación de los métodos de
escarificación con la imbibición de las semillas en extractos, superó la germinación
comparado a cuando se aplicaron solos. El extracto, con cualquier órgano, estimuló la
radícula e hipocótilo de L. leucocephala, comparado con la escarificación convencional,
excepto con agua 80ºC. Se recomienda emplear los extractos de B. purpurascens
como alternativa para eliminar la dormancia de semillas de L. leucocephala, así como
indagar en la actividad de extractos proteicos de B. purpurascens
The study evaluated the aqueous extracts of Boldoa purpurascens on the germination of Leucaena leucocecpha, identification and quantification of proteins.
