Resumen
El incremento de los niveles sonoros y la propagación del ruido en zonas urbanas es en la actualidad es uno de los principales problemas que afectan a los habitantes de las ciudades contemporáneas. Respecto al ruido y la contaminación ambiental acústica urbana la presente investigación centra su desarrollo, específicamente en el estudio y análisis de la problemática ambiental acústica que se genera entorno al área urbana contenida dentro del anillo circunvalante de la ciudad de Santa Clara. En este sentido se aplica como principal herramienta metodológica en la investigación el diagnóstico para poder determinar de manera científica la realidad objetiva entorno a esta situación ambiental en la ciudad y poder elaborar propuestas ajustadas que permitan desde la óptica legal controlar o reducir la presencia de la contaminación acústica en la ciudad y la influencia que ejerce la misma en la calidad del hábitat urbano. Como principales resultados del trabajo se encuentran la actualización del mapa acústico de la ciudad de Santa Calara, y la elaboración de fichas técnicas donde se compila por calle o ejes viales toda la información de la que se nutre el diagnóstico acústico.
