The Directorate of Documentation and Technical Scientific Information (DDICT) of the Central University ‘’Marta Abreu’’ of Las Villas (UCLV), located in the city of Santa Clara, Cuba, has joined to the digital library movement through the integration of resources in any format and way of access within their different online catalogs. That is why this Diploma Work intends to disseminate the digital services of the Coronado Collection of the University library using mobile technologies widely used in the UCLV. In this way it would be possible to increase the knowledge of the university community about this collection. For this, the current tendencies and technologies related to digital heritage collections have been consulted. The technologies needed to develop an Android application were identified. The application was designed so that the user could connect via wifi to a database resident on a DDICT server through a service created in Php. In the application the user can access to the biography of Francisco de Paula Coronado, watch a documentary about the room, visit each part of the room, know the rules, consult the bibliographic information about each document as well as search the same by type of document, date, author and other fields established in the Dublin Core metadata format. In addition, the user can access DDICT services such as the ABC digital catalog. The application interface was tested on devices of different resolutions and versions of Android over or equal to 4.0.3. The access time test applied to both the servant and the client shows small access times in milliseconds with higher requirements at daytime in areas of the library and the psychology faculty and at night in the house of The FEU, U4 and the theater. The usability test performed shows ease of use of the user interface and good acceptance from the respondents.
