Resumen
La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en el período comprendido entre los meses de febrero a junio del presente año. Se realizó con el objetivo de validar una escala de
autovaloración en adolescentes de secundaria básica en el municipio de Santa Clara. La muestra se seleccionó bajo un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Los estudiantes seleccionados pertenecieron a las escuelas Fe del Valle Ramos, Eduardo Anoceto Rega y Capitán Roberto Rodríguez, trabajándose con un total de 408 adolescentes distribuidos equitativamente en cada grado e institución.
La investigación se basó en una metodología cuantitativa orientada hacia un estudio
descriptivo correlacional. El proceso de validación de la escala de autovaloración para
adolescentes (EAA, versión 1.0) en el presente trabajo contó con un juicio de especialistas para valorar el ajuste del vocabulario al adolescente cubano. Se llevó a cabo una validación de constructo mediante un análisis factorial por componentes de los reactivos de la escala, luego se determinó la confiabilidad mediante las técnicas de alpha de Cronbach y test- retest.
Además se aplicaron correlaciones bivariadas y análisis de varianza.
Como resultados fundamentales se obtuvieron 5 factores que mostraron alta correlación interna entre sus ítems. Se apreció además una consistencia interna elevada en cuanto a los factores que componen la escala, existiendo estabilidad en las respuestas ofrecidas por los adolescentes luego de dos aplicaciones del instrumento. Se lograron establecer los baremos en función de los resultados del análisis de varianza de los factores, donde no se encontraron diferencias significativas, por lo que estos se confeccionaron atendiendo a la generalidad
This research work was made from February 2013 to June 2013. Its main objective was to establish a scale of self valuation in high school teenagers in Santa Clara city. Students were selected at random, belonging to the schools Fe del Valle Ramos, Eduardo Anoceto Rega and Capitán Roberto Rodríguez, getting a total of 408 teenagers distributed equally for grade and for institution. The research was based on a quantity methodology oriented to a descriptive co- relational study. In the process of this scale validation were involved specialists to value the proper use of the vocabulary for Cuban adolescents. This validation was made through a factorial analysis for components of the scale reactive. The reliability analysis was established using the techniques of Cronbach alpha and test- retest, applying also bivariate correlations and analysis of variance. As main results, 5 factors were established that showed high internal correlation among its items. It was shown also a high internal consistency among the factors components of the scale, having stability in the answers of the teenagers after applying the instrument. The percentile values were established looking into the analysis of variance of the factors, where significant differences were not found, so they were established attending to generality.
