Abstract
El trabajo titulado: “Capital humano y crecimiento económico en América Latina: análisis empírico”,
tiene como principal objetivo: analizar la relación del capital humano con el crecimiento económico de la
región latinoamericana, basado esencialmente en un análisis empírico que contrasta la relación biunívoca
de estas variables. Se realizó una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica para dar cumplimiento a los objetivos
perseguidos en el marco teórico referencial de la investigación y utilizarla en la validación práctica. La
situación problémica esencial, radica en la dificultad de obtención de aquellos datos que permitan
contrastar la relación crecimiento-capital humano. Se construye una base de datos, que aunque
perfectible, responde a las necesidades de la investigación. Se han empleado bases de datos y
estadísticas censales referenciadas internacionalmente, entre ellas Penn World Table, CEPAL, Banco
Mundial (World Development Indicators) y otras, por citar las más importantes.
