dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio es un primer acercamiento a los cementerios de la región central de Cuba y comprende exponentes de las provincias de Ci enfuegos, Villa Clara y Sancti Spíritus. Se plantea un análisis desde el punto de vista histórico, de los valores reconocidos o no por la Ley y que están presentes en los espacios visitados, además de que se proponen posibles líneas de investigación para e ste campo. El análisis persigue mostrar las particularidades presentes en los cementerios del área que permiten defender un sello de identidad propio de la región, tales como la arquitectura vernácula presente así como los exponentes de arte popular igualm ente reconocible. Por otro lado, no escapa a una perspectiva comparativa que permite contrastar con exponentes ubicados fuera de la región y que expresan un grado de academicismo formal muy elevado.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe present study is a first approach to the cemeteries of the central region of Cuba and includes exponents of the provinces Cienfuegos, Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus. An analysis is proposed from the historical point of view, of the values recognized or not by the Law and that are present in the spaces visited, as well as proposing possible lines of research for this field. The analysis seeks to show the particularities present in the cemeteries of the area that allow to defend a hallmark of the region's own identity, such as the vernacular architecture present as well as the exponents of popular art that are equally recognizable. On the other hand, it does not escape a comparative perspective that allows contrasting with exponents located outside the region and expressing a very high degree of formal academicism.en_US
