Resumen
En nuestro país, la tecnología en la industria de la cerámica roja es muy antigua, con un bajo costo de la mano de obra, procesos con rendimientos energéticos ineficientes y bajo nivel de automatización. El principio de estas empresas en los últimos años ha sido alcanzar un avance tecnológico y un aumento de la eficiencia en la producción, ya que este sector se considera como uno de los mayores consumidores de recursos naturales.
Existen un gran número de fábricas artesanales para la producción de ladrillos, con hornos sumamente ineficientes, generalmente estos usan la leña como combustible, consumiendo toneladas cada año, sin embargo, si estos productores tuvieran en sus manos la alternativa del Horno Vertical Continuo se lograría una mejor eficiencia en el proceso de producción de estos materiales cerámicos y por consiguiente una reducción del consumo de leña.
Es por esta razón que se decide confeccionar este Anteproyecto, el cual establece las recomendaciones técnicas para su implantación en Cuba, además, en él se describe el proceso de producción del ladrillo de cerámica roja, tanto a escala artesanal, como industrial, los tipos de hornos y los combustibles usados en la cocción, así como las experiencias internacionales sobre la producción de ladrillos cerámicos en el Horno Vertical Continuo. Se presentan los planos principales del Horno sin detalle de dimensionamiento exacto para un proyecto posterior, aunque si existirán algunas especificaciones para su construcción civil.

It is for this reason it was decided make this Draft, which provides technical recommendations for implementation in Cuba, in addition, it describes the process of production of red ceramic brick at both artisanal and industrial, the types of furnaces and fuels used in cooking as well as international experiences on the production of bricks in the Continuous Vertical Furnace. Principal planes are presented without detail Oven exact sizing for a later project, although there will be some specifications for construction.
