Resumen
El escenario en que se desempeñan las organizaciones en general, y en particular las
instituciones educativas, presentan un acelerado ritmo de cambio que produce la
inadaptación de los conocimientos, habilidades y las actitudes, lo que exige a los
integrantes de estas no sólo la correspondiente adaptación, sino también la anticipación
con carácter proactivo. En este sentido constituye una necesidad de las universidades,
desplegar un enfoque estratégico basado en indicadores claves que le permita
establecer prioridades, concentrarse en lo fundamental, tomar decisiones orientadas al
logro de los objetivos y alcanzar la visión futura. En correspondencia con ello, en el
presente trabajo se expone una forma de proceder, para la identificación y validación de
indicadores claves a considerar en los sistemas de gestión universitaria, tomando como
base las expectativas de las partes interesadas, los ranking internacionales y la esencia
de los factores críticos de éxito por objetivos estratégicos en los marcos de la filosofía
cuadro de mando integral.
The scenario in which organizations in general and educational institutions in particular have an accelerated rate of change, which produces the inadequacy of knowledge, skills and attitudes, which requires the members of institutions not only the corresponding adaptation, but also the proactive anticipation of these. The deployment of the strategic approach, based on a system of key indicators, allows senior university management to establish priorities, focus on the fundamental, and make decisions aimed at achieving the objectives according to the vision and continuously improve their management, is necessary of universities for progressive progress towards excellence. In this sense, the present work exposes a way of proceeding for the identification and validation of indicators to be considered in the university management systems, based on the expectations of the interested parties, the international rankings and the essence of the critical factors of success for strategic objectives, which are subsequently grouped following the philosophy of the balanced scorecard.
