dc.description.abstractEsta investigación se realiza durante el período de diciembre 2013 y mayo de 2014, con el objetivo de Diseñar una Guía Psicoeducativa para la preparación de los maestros que atienden a los escolares con Necesidad Educativa Especial de baja visión en el segundo grado de las escuelas primarias en la provincia de St. George, ciudad Capital de Granada. La investigación responde al paradigma de investigación mixto, con enfoque cualitativo principalmente, apoyada en recursos cuantitativos; el estudio es exploratorio descriptivo con diseño no experimental transversal. La muestra se selecciona de manera no – probabilística e intencional, compuesta por tres maestras y los tres alumnos con baja visión que atienden en el segundo grado de tres escuelas primarias de la provincia. Los métodos empleados son: entrevista psicológica semiestructurada, observación, revisión de documentos, juicio de expertos y criterio de usuarios. Los resultados obtenidos durante el diagnóstico, reflejan que las maestras, en su práctica pedagógica, realizan acciones encaminadas a facilitar la inclusión del escolar con Necesidades Educativas Especiales de baja visión, sin embargo, estas acciones se consideran insuficientes, también demuestran su necesidad de preparación para brindar adecuada atención a estos escolares, justificando así la elaboración de la guía psicoeducativa. La guía fue evaluada mediante el juicio de expertos y el criterio de usuarios utilizando el análisis porcentual, valorándose su asequibilidad y carácter orientador. Se concluye que es pertinente y factible. Se ofrecen recomendaciones para la implementación de la guía, y el desarrollo de futuros estudios sobre su aplicación en otros niveles.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis investigation was carried out during the period of December 2013 and May 2014, with the objective of designing a Pyschoeducational Guide for the preparation of teachers who teach students with the Special Education Need of low vision, in the second grade of primary schools in the parish of St. George, capital of Grenada. The investigation responds to a mixed paradigm, primarily qualitative, supported by quantitative resources; the type of study was exploratory – descriptive, with a non – experimental transversal design. The sample population selected was characterized by being non probabilistic and intentional, thus, working with three teachers and their three students with low vision from the second grade of three primary schools in the parish of St. George. The methods and techniques used consist of: semi structured psychological interview, observation, revision of documents, expert judgment and user critique. The results obtained reflect that the teachers carry out actions that are directed towards facilitating the inclusion low vision Special education needs students. However, these actions are considered insufficient; the results also demonstrated their need for preparation in providing adequate attention to the low vision student, thus, justifying the creation of the psychoeducational guide. The guide was evaluated through the use of expert judgment and user critique carrying out for each one a percentile analysis, evaluating its attainability, and quality of the orientations provided. Finally, recommendations are made with respect to the implementation and use of the guide, its validation as well as the development of future studies.en_US
