The notion that the dysfunctions of the state of spirit, especially the depressive ones, they can show in children and adolescents, it is accepted at the present time in a majority way. But this acceptance is relatively recent. It is hence that in our means we lack diagnostic reliable and valid tools to evaluate the depressive dysfunction in the adolescents. This way the present investigation, carried out of January to May of the 2013, she went to adapt for the population of Cuban adolescents the Inventory of Infantile Depression of Kovacs (CDI), created by María Kovacs and Beck. The same one relied on a quantitative paradigm with a descriptive study. One worked with a probabilistic stratified sample, conformed by a total 394 adolescents of the county of Villa Clara. For it you proceeded to the evaluation of the inventory according to professionals' trial, then she was carried out the analysis of the dependability and the validity of the technique, the scales adapted for the Cuban population and finally the use Manual was elaborated for professionals. The data were processed with technical of the statistical package SPSS, as the alpha of Cronbach, exact test of Fisher, non parametric (Tau-c of Kendall) correlation test, test of Wilcoxon, multivariate and statistical descriptive analysis. The statistical analyses demonstrated that the instrument was reliable in the time (test-retest) and it showed internal high consistency of their articles. It was demonstrated that the same one possesses notables evidences of content validity, approach validity and constructo.
