Resumen
En la actualidad con el desarrollo tecnológico y el crecimiento demográfico, se
incrementa el volumen de tránsito en las carreteras, lo que conlleva a una mayor
cantidad de repeticiones de carga por ejes. El aumento de las cargas de tránsito y
el empleo de nuevos materiales constituye un reto constante en el diseño de
pavimentos.
La tendencia internacional se orienta al desarrollo de métodos empíricomecanicista de diseño de pavimento. Sobre esta base se analiza la posibilidad de
chequear las estructuras de pavimento diseñadas, actualmente en Cuba, por un
método netamente empírico a partir de los conceptos empírico-mecanicistas
incluidos en la nueva guía de la AASHTO 2006. En el logro de este objetivo se
emplea el software Desing Guide AASHTO 2002 versión 1.0 que permite realizar
el análisis de la evolución de las patologías más frecuentes en estructuras de
pavimentos flexibles diseñadas.
Finalmente, como resultado de esta etapa, se logra establecer un procedimiento
de comprobación de algunos de los criterios de la mencionada guía haciendo
especial énfasis en las modificaciones que deben ser incluidas en el software para
comenzar su adaptación a las condiciones de nuestro país.
At the present time with the technological development and the demographic growth, the traffic volume is increased in the highways, what bears to a bigger quantity of load repetitions for axes. The increase of the traffic loads and the employment of new materials constitutes a constant challenge in the design of pavements. The international tendency is guided to the development of methods empiricmechanic of design of pavement. On this base the check possibility is analyzed the designed structures of pavement, at the moment in Cuba, for a method highly empiric starting from the concepts empiric-mechanics included in the new guide of the AASHTO 2006. In the achievement of this objective the software Desing Guide AASHTO 2002 version is used 1.0 that he/she allows to carry out the analysis of the evolution of the most frequent pathologies in designed structures of flexible pavements. Finally, as a result of this stage, it is possible to establish a confirmation procedure of some of the approaches of the one mentioned guide making special emphasis in the modifications that should be included in the software to begin their adaptation to the conditions of our country.
