Resumen
La degradación ambiental, la contaminación y sus consecuencias para la salud,
constituye un problema global actual producto de la relación inadecuada del hombre
con el medio ambiente. Por lo que la formación de actitudes proambientales desde la
etapa escolar, juega un papel fundamental, es por ello que se realizó una intervención
psicoeducativa para contribuir al desarrollo de las mismas hacia el cuidado y
preservación del contexto escolar en estudiantes de sexto grado de la escuela
“Antonio Maceo” de Morón, Ciego de Ávila.
Se diseñó, validó y piloteó una encuesta para evaluar las actitudes proambientales de
los escolares desde sus tres dimensiones: cognitiva, afectiva y comportamental.
El diagnóstico de necesidades educativas describe la falta de conocimiento sobre el
medio ambiente como sistema complejo y de consecuencias de comportamientos
inadecuados, falta de sensibilización, responsabilidad y compromiso con la
problemática y escasez de actividades para cuidar y proteger el contexto escolar.
A partir del mismo se diseñó un programa de acciones coherentemente organizadas y
estructuradas que se caracteriza por ser accesible a cualquier educador, económico
en tiempo y materiales; es motivante, flexible y centrado en el escolar, destacándose
su valor metodológico, con un sustancial tributo práctico al encaminarse hacia lo
educativo, social y económico, permitiéndole a los escolares una búsqueda
autorreflexiva de las causas, consecuencias y soluciones de la problemática para el
propio contexto donde estudian, este sistema de influencias permitió el desarrollo de
actitudes proambientales hacia el cuidado y preservación del contexto escolar en
estos estudiantes, cumpliéndose el objetivo propuesto.
Environmental degradation, contamination and its outcome for health, represents a global present day problem produced by the man's inadequate relationship with the environment. That's why the formation of pro-environmental attitudes starting from the school stage, play a fundamental role to fulfill a sustainable development. Because of this a psycho-educative intervention was made to contribute to the development of those attitudes to take care and preserve the school context in students of sixth grade of Antonio Maceo School in Morón, Ciego of Ávila. A survey was designed, validated and tested in a pilot study to evaluate the proenvironmental attitudes of students from these three dimensions: Cognitive, affective and behavior. The diagnosis of educational needs describes the lack of knowledge the students have on the environment as a complex and outcome system of inadequate behaviors, lack of sensitization, responsibility and commitment with the problems and scarcity of activities to take care of and to protect the school context. Starting from this result a program of structured and coherently organized actions was designed, it is characterized to be accessible to any educator, it is economic in time and materials. It is also motivating, flexible and student -centered, highlighting its methodological value, with a substantial practical contribution towards the educational, social and economic values, allowing the students a self-reflective search of the causes, results and solutions of the problems for the context where they study. This system of influences permitted the development of pro-environmental attitudes toward the preservation of the school context in these students, fulfilling the proposed objective.
