dc.description.abstractLa Mecánica de Suelos es un instrumento indispensable para el proyectista y de gran ayuda para el constructor. Actualmente existen deficiencias en la solución de problemas relacionados con las cimentaciones, por lo tanto cualquier investigación que se realice será de gran utilidad. El nuevo Plan de estudio E y la falta de textos existentes en la temática llevan a la necesidad de buscar nuevas vías para garantizar la bibliografía adecuada a los estudiantes y profesionales del medio. Por lo que en este trabajo se presenta una disertación acerca de los primeros apuntes para un libro de texto de “Cimentaciones” para las carreras de Ingeniería Civil e Hidráulica, además de ser una referencia idónea para el ingeniero profesional. El presente estudio cuenta con un total de tres capítulos, desarrollándose en un primer capítulo los inicios de la Mecánica de Suelos y el surguimiento de su enseñanza en nuestro país, la revisión de planes de estudio anteriores, así como el análisisi de la bibliografía precedente del tema. En el capítulo 2 se abordo la comparación entre los resultados obtenidos en las investigaciones realizadas en la Facultad de Construcciones de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas y la bibliografía internacional existente, alrededor de los tres problemas profesionales fundamentales. Culmina con la presentación de la primera propuesta de los apuntes para un libro de texto de “Cimentaciones” mediante el tema de la capacidad de carga de cimentaciones superficiales, y el análisis de los contenidos que pudieran desarrollarse un poco más para una mejor comprensión de la materia.en_US
dc.description.abstractSoil Mechanics is an indispensable tool for the designer and a great help for the builder. Currently there are deficiencies in the solution of problems related to the foundations, therefore any investigation that is carried out will be very useful. The new study Plan E and the lack of existing texts in the subject lead to the need to look for new ways to guarantee the adequate bibliography to the students and professionals of the medium. Therefore, in this paper we present a dissertation about the first notes for a textbook of "Foundations" for Civil and Hydraulic Engineering careers, as well as being an ideal reference for the professional engineer. The present study has a total of three chapters, developing in a first chapter the beginnings of Soil Mechanics and the follow-up of their teaching in our country, the review of previous study plans, as well as the analysis of the previous bibliography of the topic. In chapter 2 the comparison between the results obtained in the investigations carried out in the Faculty of Constructions of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas and the existing international bibliography, around the three fundamental professional problems is addressed. It culminates with the presentation of the first proposal of the notes for a textbook of "Foundations" by the subject of the load capacity of shallow foundations, and the analysis of the contents that could be developed a little more for a better understanding of the matter.en_US
