Procedimiento metodológico para la estimación de la potencia de las corrientes de marea en la región noroeste de Cuba

Resumen
En el presente trabajo se desarrolla el tema de los recursos renovables específicamente la energía mareomotriz. En el mismo se realiza una detallada revisión bibliográfica para conocer el potencial energético.
En el capítulo I se da una perspectiva de la situación mundial referida a la desigual
distribución y consumo de los hidrocarburos a nivel mundial, posteriormente se realiza
una reseña histórica de la utilización de las mareas para la obtención de potencia, luego se analizan las principales características de las corrientes de marea, después se hace mención a lo que se está haciendo en Cuba en el campo de la energía mareomotriz y por último se hace una síntesis de la actualidad internacional.
En el capítulo II se implementa una metodología para estimar el potencial existente en las corrientes de marea en Cuba y se plantea la teoría de la cantidad de movimiento y el Límite de Betz con un modelo físico. A continuación se realiza un estudio estadístico de las corrientes de marea, y se expone la vía para realizar los distintos gráficos que son necesarios para conocer con exactitud el comportamiento del potencial energético, por último se plantea la vía de determinación de velocidad y potencia media anual.
En el capítulo III se exponen las características técnicas de la turbina seleccionada
(Marine Current Turbine (MCT) Sea Gen) así como su gráfico de producción de potencia
contra velocidad de la corriente; después con el empleo del software Statistical 0.6 se
realiza un estudio estadístico con los datos obtenidos de las bahías de Isabela de Sagua, Nuevita, Nipe, Maisí; a continuación se realizan los gráficos de producción de potencia contra altura de la marea de las bahías en estudio, por último se exponen los resultados obtenidos en el cálculo de potencia y velocidad media anual.
In the current research it is developed the topic of the renewable resources, specifically the tidal energy. To do so it is carried out a detailed bibliographical revision to know the energetic power. In chapter I it is given a perspective of the world situation referred to the unequal distribution and consumption of the hydrocarbons at a global level. Later it is carried out an historical review of the use of the tidals to obtain power, and then the main characteristics of the tidal streams are analyzed. Next we refer to what is Cuba working in, on the tidal energy field and finally it is made a synthesis of international actuality. In chapter II a methodology to estimate the existent potential in the tide currents in Cuba it is implemented and the theory of the quantity of movement as well as the Limit of Betz with a physical model are also settled down.. Next an statistical study of the tidal currents it is carried out, and it is exposed the way to make the different graphics that are necessary to know with accuracy the behavior of the energetic power. Finally it is settled down the way to determine the speed and the media annual power. In chapter III the technical characteristics of the selected turbine are exposed (Marine Current Turbine (MCT) Sea Gen) as well as its power production graphics against the speed of the current.
