nuevo aglomerante.
This diploma work evaluates the physical-mechanical and chemical behavior of hydraulic tiles produced with "Low Carbon Cement" factory "Rolando Morales" Cifuentes. This new binder is based on replacing the Portland cement clinker by combining calcined clay-limestone. This influence was also analyzed in terms of mechanical strength, porosity, and performance against chemical attack. To conduct the study was designed an experimental design that consisted primarily in obtaining six test pieces based on Portland cement and standard sample, which were compared from the variation of pH with six other specimens produced with "Low Carbon Cement" Furthermore, he underwent hydraulic tiles bending tests, total absorption of water, abrasion, and the geometrical requirements were noted. These results confirm the quality with which account this new binder.
