Resumen
En los últimos años se ha incrementado la conciencia de la sociedad respecto a la seguridad vial, convirtiéndose en una prioridad por parte de las administraciones encargadas de la gestión de la red vial la manera de reducir el peligro en las carreteras, las que se degradan con el transcurso del tiempo debido al paso de los vehículos sobre la superficie del pavimento, la acción climática, y del hombre. Cuba no está de espalda a esta realidad ya que en el país la mayor parte de las vías se encuentran en estado crítico y no se cuenta con los medios especializados, ni con el desarrollo necesario para su restauración capital. En la presente investigación se plantea, con la utilización de los ensayos del péndulo británico y el círculo de arena llegar a la curva de textura vs fricción para esta utilizarla, como valuador de una carretera, estableciendo si requiere o no de mejorar, la micro o macrotextura y como segunda alternativa para hallar el valor de la fricción y del ensayo del péndulo británico en un punto determinado teniendo el valor de la textura a partir del ensayo del círculo de arena. Se realizó una revisión de la bibliografía acerca del tema y se aplicó la metodología de la NLT-335/87 para la medición de la textura superficial de un pavimento por el método del círculo de arena a partir de la selección de la carretera, selección del tramo, determinación de la muestra, evaluación de la resistencia al deslizamiento y textura superficial y análisis de los resultados. Al analizar la evaluación realizada en los siete puntos donde se tomó la muestra por el método del círculo de arena el coeficiente de resistencia al deslizamiento que se obtuvo para la microtextura y la macrotextura del pavimento se clasificó en un estado malo, por lo que la vía presenta un potencial para la ocurrencia de accidentes de tránsito y requiere de acciones de conservación.

A revision of the bibliography about the theme was accomplished and NLT applied her methodology himself - 335/87 for the measurement of the superficial texture of a pavement for the method of the sand circle starting from the selection of the road, selection of the stretch, determination of the sign, evaluation of the resistance to the slide and superficial texture and the aftermaths's analysis.
