Resumen
It is carried out the scratch testing according to the ASTM G171-03 standard and it is determined the scratch hardness numbers of three aluminum AA1060 specimens to three different scratching speeds (53, 76 and 98 mm/s). The results are compared with the obtained by the scratch testing simulation and similar result are observed. Nevertheless, it should be improving the model used to simulate the scratch testing with the purpose of obtain more accurate results according to the test. Also, as a result of the simulation the stresses and strain behavior are obtained during the scratch process.
