A partir del análisis del banco de problemas del IPI “Lázaro Cárdenas del Río” se detectaron carencias en los estudiantes de primer año con respecto a la Estadística Descriptiva, dando lugar al problema científico ¿Cómo contribuir al desarrollo de habilidades de la Estadística Descriptiva en la asignatura Matemática? Para dar respuesta a esta interrogante se presenta la propuesta de 15 ejercicios los cuales se caracterizan por estar vinculados a la especialidad, ser variados e interesante y está concebida para la ejercitación, consolidación y sistematización de forma tal que los estudiantes se apropien de métodos de trabajo que les permitan desarrollar habilidades. Se utilizan métodos del nivel teórico, del nivel empírico y del nivel matemático. Los evaluadores externos consultados valoraron la propuesta como pertinente y con calidad para ser validada. La validación de la propuesta realizada permitió constatar en la práctica que los ejercicios elaborados están acorde con el nivel de educación y que motivan a los estudiantes.
