dc.description.abstractEl desarrollo del turismo como actividad económica constituye hoy uno de los pilares más importantes en las estrategias de desarrollo de muchos países, siendo el desarrollo local una de las principales temáticas en lo referente a estudios turísticos en la actualidad. En este sentido la determinación del potencial turístico en un territorio, la identificación de los actores turísticos locales y las interrelaciones entre los mismos, proporciona información clave para la toma de decisiones encaminadas a la transformación de dicho territorio bajo la concepción de un modelo de desarrollo turístico local. Es así que el objetivo de la presente investigación está orientado a definir un plan de acciones derivado de la evaluación turística territorial del municipio Caibarién en aras de contribuir al desarrollo local del mismo. Para dicha evaluación se utilizó el Procedimiento de Evaluación Turística Territorial con Enfoque Participativo, propuesto por la MSc. Yanisley Moya Monteagudo, a través del cual se obtuvieron como principales resultados que el municipio Caibarién cuenta con un amplio potencial turístico para el fomento de la actividad turística local, sin embargo, no existe una adecuada ni suficiente infraestructura (turística y de servicios) para la explotación de dichas potencialidades. Tampoco están bien definidas las relaciones entre los actores turísticos locales, a pesar del interés común por el desarrollo turístico del destino. En función de corregir estas deficiencias se propone un plan de acciones encaminado a potenciar las relaciones entre los actores implicados lo que favorecerá el impulso del desarrollo local del turismo en el territorio.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe development of tourism as an economic activity is today one of the most important pillars in the development strategies of many countries, with local development being one of the main themes in relation to tourism studies today. In this sense, the determination of tourist potential in a territory, the identification of local tourist actors and the interrelations between them, provides key information for the decision with the objective of transforming that territory under the conception of a local tourism development model. Thus, the objective of the present investigation is oriented to define a plan of actions derived from the territorial tourist evaluation of the municipality of Caibarién in order to contribute to the local development of it. For this evaluation was used the Procedure of territorial tourism evaluation with participatory approach, proposed by the MSc. Yanisley Moya Monteagudo, through which it was obtained as main results that the Caibarién municipality has a great tourist potential for the promotion of the local tourist activity, however there is not an adequate and sufficient infrastructure (tourist and services) for the exploitation of such potentialities. Neither are the relations between local tourism actors well defined, despite the common interest in the tourist development of the destination. In order to correct these deficiencies, a plan of actions is proposed aimed at strengthening relations between the actors involved, which will favor the promotion of local tourism development in the territory.en_US
