Valoración estética del sujeto “mujer lesbiana” en la antología Nosotras dos (2011) de Dulce María Sotolongo

Abstract

La valoración estética del sujeto “mujer lesbiana” es un tema poco trabajado en el contexto cubano. Los estudios existentes han estado asociados mayormente a analizar temáticas referidas a la homosexualidad masculina, constituyendo un tema pendiente el abordaje de aquellas que remiten a la homosexualidad femenina. Es por ello que el objetivo general del presente estudio se encaminó a determinar las especificidades de la valoración estética del sujeto “mujer lesbiana”, presentes en los textos de la antología Nosotras dos (2011), de Dulce María Sotolongo. Metodológicamente, la investigación partió de un enfoque cualitativo. Asimismo, se empleó el análisis de contenido como procedimiento de trabajo que integra las distintas modalidades del método general de análisis de textos. Como conclusión, se evidenció la presencia de la belleza en sus dos dimensiones, el grotesco, la tragicidad y, en menor medida, el humor como categorías resultantes de la valoración estética del sujeto “mujer lesbiana”. La belleza física de este se ha correspondido con el canon occidental basado en la armonía y el equilibrio de los rasgos corporales. En cambio, la belleza moral ha transgredido la caracterización tradicional de la feminidad al expresarse a través de virtudes como la valentía, la determinación y la defensa de la propia libertad. El grotesco se observó en la representación inarmónica, mórbida o estridente del cuerpo de dicho sujeto. Además, la tragicidad se corroboró en los posibles destinos que le deparan a este, cuyo fatum reside en su orientación sexual. Finalmente, el humor se encontró en la ridiculización del cuerpo de este sujeto.

The aesthetic assessment of the subject "lesbian woman" is a topic little studied in the Cuban context. Existing studies have been mostly associated with analyzing issues related to male homosexuality, with the pending approach to those issues referring to female homosexuality. That is why the general objective of this study was aimed at determining the specificities of the aesthetic assessment of the subject "lesbian woman", present in the texts of the anthology Nosotras dos (2011), by Dulce María Sotolongo. Methodologically, the research started from a qualitative approach. Likewise, content analysis was used as a working procedure that integrates the different modalities of the general method of text analysis. As a conclusion, the presence of beauty in its two dimensions, the grotesque, the tragicity, and, to a lesser extent, humor, as categories resulting from the aesthetic assessment of the subject "lesbian woman" was evidenced. The physical beauty of this one has corresponded to the western canon based on the harmony and balance of bodily features. Instead, moral beauty has transgressed the traditional characterization of femininity by expressing itself through virtues such as bravery, determination, and the defense of one's freedom. The grotesque was observed in the inharmonic, morbid or strident representation of the body of said subject. In addition, the tragicity was corroborated in the possible destinations that lie in store for him, whose fatum resides in his sexual orientation. Finally, humor was found in the ridicule of this subject's body.
