| dc.description.abstract | Como parte de las investigaciones que se realizan sobre la arquitectura ecléctica doméstica en Cuba, específicamente en la ciudad de Santa Clara; el presente trabajo de diploma dirige sus esfuerzos al estudio de la volumetría, carpintería y herrería de viviendas seleccionadas de este período. Los inmuebles analizados responden a las clases sociales de medianos ingresos, particularmente del centro de la ciudad. Los resultados obtenidos amplían las escasas referencias dedicadas a estos componentes, fundamentalmente en caracterizar la decoración de este estilo arquitectónico. Sobre esta idea, se evidencian transformaciones que, al igual que otros elementos del repertorio ecléctico, van a estar condicionadas por las tendencias económicas y políticas del momento de su construcción. Durante el desarrollo del trabajo se caracterizarán los elementos antes mencionados, su evolución formal, así como las técnicas de elaboración utilizadas. Como antesala se realiza una reseña histórica que propicia un mayor entendimiento de la situación económico social que conlleva al desarrollo de este estilo. La investigación se divide en tres partes, que responden a las variantes identificadas dentro de este estilo: Romántico, Académico y Evolucionado. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | As part of the research carried out on domestic eclectic architecture in Cuba, specifically in the city of Santa Clara, the present diploma work focuses its efforts on the study of the volumetry, carpentry and blacksmithing of selected private houses that were built in this period of architectural development in this locality. The properties analyzed respond to the social classes of medium income, particularly those who built their houses in the historic center of the city. The results obtained will expand the scarce references dedicated to this fundamental components in the case of characterizing the decoration of this architectural style. On this idea, there will be transformations that, like other elements of the eclectic repertoire will be conditioned by economic and political tendencies given at the time of its construction. During the development of the work, the aforementioned elements are caracterized: their formal evolution and elaboration techniques. As a prelude, a historical review is made that favors a greater understanding of the economic social situation that leads to the divelopment of this style.
