dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación consiste en determinar experimentalmente las principales propiedades físico-mecánicas del guayabo, obteniendo información necesaria para estudios de herramientas de poda mecanizada. Se determinan propiedades físicas del guayabo, como densidad y peso, así como el módulo de Young como propiedad mecánica. Mediante el uso de herramientas CAD se diseñó un instrumento para la determinación experimental del módulo de elasticidad de ramas de árboles, Los resultados mostraron una densidad media de las ramas del guayabo que varía, entre 872,9 y 918,6 kg/m3 para diámetros de las ramas entre 5 y 15 mm. No se encontró dependencia de la densidad de las ramas y su diámetro. El módulo de elasticidad del guayabo crece con el diámetro de las ramas, encontrándose una relación directamente lineal entre estos.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe present investigation consists of experimentally determining the main physicalmechanical properties of the guava, obtaining necessary information for studies of mechanized pruning tools. Physical properties of the guava are determined, such as density and weight, as well as the Young's modulus as mechanical property. Using the CAD tools, an instrument was designed for the experimental determination of the modulus of elasticity of tree branches. The results showed an average density of the branches of the guava tree that varies, between 872.9 and 918.6 kg / m3 for diameters of the branches between 5 and 15 mm. No dependence was found on the density of the branches and their diameter. The modulus of elasticity of the guava grows with the diameter of the branches, finding a directly linear relationship between them.en_US
