Representación ontológica del dominio de una arquitectura empresarial

Abstract

La gestión del conocimiento en las organizaciones se auxilia de herramientas que no siempre permiten representar de una forma dinámica los conocimientos que se generan en sus diferentes contextos. Las ontologías sin embargo, son sistemas encargados de representar conceptualizaciones de dominios, lo que constituye una herramienta eficaz para modelar, compartir y reutilizar conocimiento en las organizaciones y contribuir a la toma de decisiones, haciendo inferencias a partir del conocimiento representado en estos sistemas. De ahí que la presente investigación se centre en diseñar una representación ontológica que tenga como dominio una arquitectura empresarial (AE). Para ello se elaboró el marco teórico referencial a partir de un análisis bibliográfico del tema, donde se hace referencia a las definiciones, componentes y clasificaciones de las ontologías. También se realiza una caracterización de las metodologías, lenguajes de representación y herramientas existentes, siendo el lenguaje OWL y la herramienta Protegé los seleccionados, además de la metodología METHONTOLOGY propuesta por (Gómez et al., 2008), que va a constituir el pilar fundamental para llevar a cabo el proceso de construcción de la ontología. Finalmente se obtiene como resultado la ontología OntoEnterprise Architecture, la cual mostró las potencialidades de la metodología empleada y permitió describir los aspectos y elementos más significativos del proceso de construcción de la ontología.

Knowledge management in the organizations is aided by tools that don't always allow to represent in a dynamic way the knowledge generated in its different contexts. Ontologies however, are systems design to represent domain’s conceptualizations, they constitute an effective tool to model, share and reuse knowledge in the organizations and to contribute in decision making, creating inferences from the knowledge represented in these systems. Current investigation is focused in designing an ontological representation that has as domain an Enterprise Architecture (EA). For it was examined the state of the art, starting from a bibliographical analysis of the topic, where related definitions, components and classifications of ontologies are present. It is also carried out a characterization of methodologies, representation languages and existent tools, being the language OWL and the tool Protegé those selected, alongside the methodology METHONTOLOGY proposed by (Gómez et al., 2008), which will constitute the fundamental pillar to carry out the building process of the ontology. Finally it is obtained the ontology OntoEnterprise Architecture, which showed the potential of the used methodology and it allowed to describe the aspects and more significant elements of the ontology building process.
