La investigación en Comunicación en la UCLV: estudio informétrico a partir de los trabajos de diploma. Período 2005-2010

Abstract

La presente investigación constituye un estudio informétrico que permite identificar las principales tendencias de la producción científica sobre comunicación en pregrado en la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV) en el período comprendido entre los años 2005 y 2010. Este trabajo de diploma se inserta en la línea de investigación sobre el campo académico y profesional de la Comunicación en Cuba que desarrolla la Facultad de Comunicación de la Universidad de la Habana bajo la tutela de la Dra. Hilda Saladrigas y el Msc. Dasniel Olivera. Se abordan los postulados teóricos que permiten comprender la complejidad del campo de la comunicación. Así mismo en la dimensión metodológica se refiere la producción científica y los estudios métricos de la información como referentes para el procedimiento desarrollado. Se adscribe a una metodología cuantitativa, elaborándose una base de datos que permite hallar la frecuencia de aparición de los indicadores y dimensiones presentándose en tablas y gráficos. Se analizó la producción científica expresada en literatura gris, quedando finalmente conformada la muestra por un total de 64 trabajos de diploma. Como tendencias fundamentales destacan la diversificación de las temáticas y el aumento de las facultades productoras, así como la concentración del grueso de las investigaciones en los estudios de comunicación organizacional. Se recomienda mantener y profundizar estudios de este tipo a fin de sistematizar la evolución del campo académico de la comunicación en la UCLV

The present investigation constitutes an informetric study that allows to identify the main tendencies of the scientific production on communication of the under graduate terms papers in the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV) in the period from 2005 to 2010. This research paper is an investigation on the professional and academic field of the Communication in Cuba that develops the Faculty of Social Communication at the University of Havana which is managed by Dra. Hilda Saladrigas and Msc. Dasniel Olivera. The theoretical postulates are tackled and they allow to understand the complexity of the communication field. Likewise in the methodological dimension it refers to the scientific production and the metric studies of the information as referents for the developed procedure. It is attributed to a quantitative methodology, being elaborated a database that allows to find the frequency of appearance of the indicators and dimensions showing up in charts and graphics. The scientific production was analyzed expressed in gray literature, being finally conformed the sample for a total of 64 term papers. As fundamental tendencies they highlight the diversification of the thematic ones and the increase of the faculties which produce them as well as the concentration of the all investigations in the studies of organizational communication. It is recommended to maintain and to deepen studies of this type in order to systematize the evolution of the academic field of the communication in UCLV.
