Resumen
En la actualidad el uso de las Tecnologías Informáticas (TI) se ha hecho de vital importancia y
necesidad para las organizaciones a nivel mundial, las empresas cubanas no son una excepción,
pues nuestras empresas intentan mantenerse actualizadas en cuanto a técnicas que puedan
elevar la economía del país. Las Tecnologías de la Información (TI) contribuyen indudablemente a
agregar valor a los procesos de negocio de una organización y en la actualidad para muchas
empresas la información y la tecnología que la soporta representan activos extremadamente
valiosos. Muchos estudios indican que existe cierto desconocimiento en cuanto a lo que se refiere
a prácticas de TI, y si estas nuevas tecnologías no se aplican correctamente se puede incurrir en
pérdidas innecesarias. Es por ello por lo que se hace evidentemente necesario evaluar la gestión
de TI existente en las empresas con el objetivo de identificar oportunidades de mejoras, para
mantener la gestión de TI lo más correctamente posible. En función de ofrecer respuesta a dicha
necesidad en el presente trabajo se aplica un procedimiento para diagnosticar el estado actual de
la gestión de TI de una organización, teniendo en cuenta la alineación de TI a los objetivos de
negocio y la administración de los riesgos; se utiliza el indicador nivel de la gestión de tecnologías
de la información (IGTI) que se basa en el modelo COBIT y la evaluación de madurez de procesos
de TI en una organización. La aplicación de esta investigación tiene lugar en la empresa
comercializadora de combustibles CUPET Villa Clara, la cual, permitió la determinación de los
problemas que afectan la gestión de TI y la determinación de oportunidades de mejora que
contribuyen a comprender y evaluar los riesgos y beneficios asociados con TI y el impacto de las
mismas en el logro de los objetivos empresariales de esta organización.
At present the use of information technology (IT) has become of vital importance and need for organizations worldwide, the Cuban companies are no exception, as our companies are trying to stay updated in techniques that can raise the economy the country. The Information Technology (IT) undoubtedly contribute to add value to the business processes of an organization and now for many companies the information and technology that supports it represent extremely valuable assets. Many studies indicate that there is some ignorance as to what relates to IT practices, and if these new technologies are not applied correctly can incur unnecessary losses. That is why what is clearly necessary to evaluate existing IT management in enterprises in order to identify opportunities for improvement, to keep IT management as accurately as possible. In terms of providing those needs in this work applies a procedure to diagnose the current state of IT management of an organization, taking into account the alignment of IT to business objectives and risk management, is use the level indicator managing information technology (IGTI) based on the COBIT model and evaluation of IT process maturity in an organization. The application of this research takes place in the fuels marketing company CUPET Villa Clara, which allowed the identification of problems affecting IT management and the identification of improvement opportunities that contribute to understanding and evaluating the risks and benefits associated with IT and their impact on achieving business objectives of this organization.
