Propuesta de una arquitectura que implemente el estándar HbbTV en los receptores de televisión digital terrestre que operan en Cuba

dc.description.abstractEn la actualidad, la televisión digital va más allá de los contenidos televisivos, pues proporciona servicios multimedia que pueden ser interactivos, lo que implica que los usuarios finales han de tener la capacidad de interactuar con la transmisión y requiere el empleo de dispositivos de hardware y software diseñados específicamente con estos fines. Desde el año 2013 se comenzó a desplegar en Cuba la televisión digital terrestre. En dicho despliegue se ha utilizado la norma china GB 20600-2006 o DTMB, utilizando dispositivos con software de fabricación china para la recepción de la misma. Al no disponer del código fuente del software de estos dispositivos, o la documentación del hardware de los mismos se imposibilita el desarrollo de elementos que aporten valor agregado a la televisión digital cubana. Como parte de la informatización del país y de la filosofía y necesidad de lograr mayor independencia tecnológica es necesario que los propios desarrolladores cubanos creen una solución de software y hardware para recibir la señal digital con contenidos interactivos usando el estándar HbbTV. En varias universidades del país se han hecho avances con este fin, en especial en la Universidad Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas, donde desde hace unos años se desarrolla un set-top box utilizando un sistema operativo de propósito general. Debido a la necesidad del desarrollo de un sistema de software para un set-top box, en el presente trabajo se hace un estudio del estándar HbbTV y se propone una arquitectura de software, lo que permitirá tener una base para su posterior implementación y de este modo, lograr mayor independencia tecnológica y alcanzar la posibilidad de agregar cuantos servicios necesite la sociedad cubana.en_US
dc.description.abstractCurrently, digital television goes beyond television content, because it provides multimedia services that can be interactive, which implies that end users must have the ability to interact with the transmission and requires the use of hardware devices and software designed specifically for these purposes. Since 2013, digital terrestrial television began to be deployed in Cuba. In this deployment has been used the Chinese standard GB 20600-2006 or DTMB, using devices with Chinese-made software for the reception of it. By not having the source code of the software of these devices, or the documentation of their hardware, it is impossible to develop elements that add value to Cuban digital television. As part of the computerization of the country and the philosophy and need to achieve greater technological independence it is necessary that the Cuban developers themselves create a software and hardware solution to receive the digital signal with interactive content using the HbbTV standard. Advances have been made in this regard for several universities in the country, especially at the Marta Abreu Central University in Las Villas, where a set-top box has been developed for a few years using a general-purpose operating system. Due to the need for the development of a software system for a set-top box, in the present work a study of the HbbTV standard is made and a software architecture is proposed, which will allow to have a base for its later implementation and of this way, achieve greater technological independence and achieve the possibility of adding as many services as Cuban society needs.en_US
