Resumen
La presente investigación se realiza en el destino turístico Cayos de Villa Clara, con el objetivo de evaluar a través de un conjunto de indicadores específicos y un índice agregado el nivel de gestión de riesgos que contribuya a la toma de decisiones en el destino turístico Cayos de Villa Clara. Para dar cumplimiento a este objetivo se elabora un marco teórico y referencial a partir de un análisis de la bibliografía más actualizada disponible y otras fuentes de información que guarda relación con los temas objeto de estudio. Luego se realizó una caracterización del destino y se seleccionó un sistema de indicadores, posteriormente se realizó la alineación de los factores críticos de éxito con el modelo económico cubano. Además, se definió para cada uno de los Factores Clave de Éxito los indicadores para su gestión de riesgos y se seleccionaron de estos los viables y representativo en el destino turístico. Después de definido esto se calcularon los indicadores seleccionados para la gestión de riesgos y el índice de Nivel de Gestión de Riesgo en el Destino Turístico objeto de estudio y se realizó un análisis de los resultados obtenidos, se elaboró una propuesta de mejora de la cual se hizo un análisis de factibilidad. En el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizaron varias herramientas como, trabajo en grupo, entrevistas al personal, consulta de documentos, uso del método de ordenamiento simple, el método de expertos, vistas a las instalaciones las cuales le ofrecen soporte científico a la investigación. Como resultado se obtuvo que la gestión de riesgo en el destino estudiado según la escala utilizada se encuentra en un nivel medio.

After this was defined, the indicators selected for risk management and the Risk Management Level index for the Tourism Destination under study were calculated and an analysis of the results obtained was carried out. An improvement proposal was drawn up which did a feasibility analysis In the development of the research several tools were used, such as group work, interviews with staff, consultation of documents, use of the simple ordering method, the expert method, views of the facilities which offer scientific support to the investigation. As a result, it was obtained that the risk management at the destination studied according to the scale used is at a medium level.
