Thecurrenttennis player demands require to maximize their functional, physical, technical, tactical and psychic characteristics. In the same way, the work must be multidisciplinaryfor the detraining process, in order to improve the quality of life of the tennis player once his sporting stage is over. In line with the above, we pose the following question: How to prepare young tennis players who drop-out the high performance centers in the province of Villa Clara to face the sporting retirement and the process of detraining? To respond to this problem, a program of activities was designed for the detraining of young tennis players who dropout in the high-performance centers in the province of Villa Clara. As a novel factor, games were included considering how much the motivational factor contributes to the success of sports detraining. The following methods were used: analytical-synthetic, inductive deductive, analysis of official documents, surveys, semi-structured interviews, dynamic group techniques and mathematical statistical methods. It was verified that the Integral Program of Preparation of the Tennis Sportsman does not guide into the retirement and subsequent detraining. Furthermore, the coaches do not have guidelines that allow them to prepare their athletes to assume these processes. The group work enabled the design of the program of activities for the detraining of young players who drop-out the sport centers.Preparation activities for coaches and athletes were conceived in the program mentioned above. The proposal was partially implemented, with the activities planned from January to June 2019 being developed.
