The soil buildings have been very important in the history and culture of Trinidad city and San Pedro village where houses are joint in a unique atmosphere of great value of vernacular architecture; in Trinidad city those houses are part of a historical center well preserved as it was in the middle of the XIX century. In this sense, this research work assessed the way in which people and institutions do something on houses with muddy technology in Trinidad city and San Pedro village, to identify the main actions made to these buildings with a technological approach of protection, management and the assessment of the immovable item. The lacking of research related to this topic is the problem stated to this work and it is hoped that, from a constructive way the experiences that allow knowing and assessing the immovable item about the heritage deserve to be preserved. To do this research work an instrument was made to collect some information of the immovable item which constituted the methodological contribution and the compilation of some experiences from different points of view in Trinidad city and in San Pedro village, each of them with different ways due to the urban morphology where they are located and the socioeconomic characteristics of their inhabitants, but with the same value for the world heritage. It is essential to let the owners know that they are not living in poverty, butin a tangible heritage of our ancestors with a lot of values that should be transmitted to future generations, show them the constructive solutions for the reconstructions, and the institutions in charge of the preservation should prepare a program directed focused on houses with this technology which are the most vulnerable because of their age
