| dc.description.abstract | El espacio público constituye expresión de las funciones culturales, sociales, económicas y políticas de una ciudad, a la vez que funciona como medidor de calidad de vida. El hombre interactúa con este entorno y lo transforma, pero a la vez recibe mensajes, significaciones o sensaciones, producto de la misma interacción. Dentro de este contexto cambiante, es cometido del diseñador hacerlo más habitable, saludable, confortable, agradable y democrático, construyendo un paisaje urbano con una mayor calidad física y perceptiva. En estas tareas comunes, donde todas las disciplinas de diseño colaboran, el diseñador gráfico contribuye a hacer ese entorno mejor utilizable, más transparente, inteligible y humano; pero también llega a ser responsable del exceso, inadecuación, interferencias o falta de estímulo, y del caos visual y material al que están sometidos ciertas ciudades. El Boulevard de la ciudad de Santa Clara, como parte de su Centro Histórico está siendo sometida, desde 2017, a un proceso de regeneración integral que ha abarcado todos los subsistemas, incluyendo un subsistema cuya importancia y trascendencia ha sido minimizada: el sistema gráfico del espacio público. Este sistema ha sido valorizado e intervenido, y corresponde tarea del presente darle continuidad a dicho proceso y registrarlo, mediante la continuidad de nuevas soluciones de diseño y la conformación, por primera vez, de un catálogo que documenta la información teórica y práctica correspondiente, abriendo una nueva etapa dentro de los procesos de intervención del Boulevard de Santa Clara El Catálogo del Sistema Gráfico del Boulevard de Santa Clara, en su proceso de regeneración, constituye no solo un valioso instrumento que registra y documenta la memoria histórica de ésta temática en un espacio público de significación ,sino una valiosa herramienta proactiva que puede contribuir a su desarrollo y perfeccionamiento. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The public space constitutes expression of the cultural, social, economic and political functions of a city, at the same time that it works as meter of quality of life. Man interact with this environment and they transform it, but at the same time they receive messages, significances or sensations, product of the same interaction. Inside this changing context, it is responsibility of the designer make it more inhabitable, healthy, comfortable, pleasant and democratic, building an urban landscape with a bigger physical and perceptive quality. In these common tasks, where all the design disciplines collaborate, the graphic designer contributes to make the environment usable, more transparent, intelligible and more humane; but they also ends up being responsible for the excess, inadequacy, interferences or lack of stimulus, and of the visual and material chaos to the one that certain cities are subjected. The Boulevard of Santa Clara City, as part of its Historical Center, is being subjected, since 2017, to a process of integral regeneration that has embraced all the subsystems, including a subsystem whose importance and transcendency has been minimized: the graphic system of the public space. The same one has been valorized and intervened, and it corresponds task of the present to give continuity to this process and to register it, by means of the continuity of new design solutions and the conformation, for the first time, of a catalog that documents the theoretical information and corresponding practice, opening a new stage inside the processes of intervention of Santa Clara’s Boulevard. The Catalog of the Graphic System of Santa Clara’s Boulevard, in its regeneration process, it´s not just a valuable instrument that registers and documents the historical memory of this topic in a public space of significance, it is a valuable and proactive tool that contributes to its development and improvement. | en_US |
