Resumen
En la actualidad se afirma que la única constante es el cambio, debiendo estar las
diferentes empresas turísticas preparadas para enfrentarlo si desean garantizar su
posición competitiva y por tanto su éxito empresarial. Es por ello que la presente
investigación propone la elaboración del Plan Estratégico 2013-2016 para la Empresa Hotel Los Caneyes, la cual asumió recientemente una nueva estructura empresarial que incrementa sin dudas la complejidad de su gestión. Con este propósito se aplicó el procedimiento propuesto por profesores del Centro de Estudios Turísticos de la Universidad Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas (González et al., 2008b) para la elaboración e implementación de la planificación estratégica en entidades turísticas; haciendo uso complementario de diferentes técnicas como la Matriz DAFO, la realización de entrevistas estructuradas individuales, la observación científica, la revisión documental y técnicas de trabajo en grupos.
El principal resultado obtenido se corresponde con la delineación del plan para su posterior implementación, tomando como punto de partida los resultados de la realización de un riguroso Diagnóstico Estratégico del entorno externo e interno de la empresa. Los principales beneficios esperados tras la implementación se asocian a la asimilación positiva de los elementos cambiantes que caracterizan el entorno de la empresa, a un mejor aprovechamiento de los recursos humanos, materiales y financieros y a un mejoramiento de la gestión empresarial en general.
At present it´s stated that the only constant is change, must be different tourism companies prepared to face if they want to ensure their competitive position and therefore your business success. That´s why this research proposes the design of the 2013-2016 Strategic Plan for Enterprise Hotel Los Caneyes, which recently assumed a new business structure that undoubtedly increases the complexity of management. For this purpose we applied the method proposed by Tourism Studies Center´s teachers of the University of Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas (González et al., 2008b) for the design and implementation of strategic planning in tourism entities; making complementary use of different techniques such as SWOT matrix, the individual structured interviews, scientific observation, document review and group work techniques. The main result corresponds to the delineation of the subsequent implementation plan, taking as its starting point the results of the implementation of a Strategic Diagnostics rigorous external and internal environment of the company. The main benefits expected after implementation are associated to the positive management of changing elements that characterize the business environment, better utilization of human, material and financial resources and an improvement in general business management.
