dc.description.abstractEl turismo se ha convertido, en el transcurso de los últimos años, en una de las mayores fuentes generadoras de empleo, de divisas y de estímulo a la inversión y al crecimiento económico. Representa un factor de desarrollo clave en la economía de numerosos países, entre ellos Cuba, Es importante destacar que además del análisis que muchos especialistas han realizado de los aportes positivos que puede generar no se debe dejar de analizar que impactos en orden tanto social, económico y medio ambiental ha tenido. El estudio de los impactos que ocasiona el turismo se ha convertido en una necesidad por la demanda de no pocas comunidades, de políticas que partan del conocimiento real del fenómeno y estén enfocadas con una mirada integradora de la actividad, ya que, para que las entidades turísticas sobrevivan se requiere de una disposición favorable hacia los turistas. Asimismo, el turismo se sigue concibiendo como una estrategia de desarrollo para reactivar las economías de regiones diversas. Partiendo de que Remedios está cerca de uno de los principales destinos turísticos del país, y se encuentra entre los municipios seleccionados a nivel nacional para llevar a cabo las iniciativas locales de desarrollo, este trabajo realiza un análisis de los posibles impactos, sobre la base de la percepción que sobre el turismo y los turistas tiene la comunidad objeto de estudio. El monitoreo y evaluación ayudan a evaluar qué tan bien se están haciendo las cosas con el fin de ayudar a hacerlo mejor.en_US
dc.description.abstractTourism has become, in the course of recent years, one of the largest sources of employment, foreign exchange and stimulus to investment and economic growth. It represents a key development factor in the economy of many countries, including Cuba.It is important to highlight that in addition to the analysis that many specialists have made of the positive contributions that it can generate, it should not be neglected to analyze what impacts in both a social and economic order and the environment has had. The study of the impacts caused by tourism has become a necessity due to the demand of more than a few communities, for policies that start from the real knowledge of the phenomenon and are focused with an integrating view of the activity, since, for the entities Surviving tourism requires a favorable disposition towards tourists. Likewise, tourism continues to be conceived as a development strategy to reactivate the economies of diverse regions. Assuming that Remedios is close to one of the main tourist destinations in the country, and is among the municipalities selected at the national level to carry out local development initiatives, this work carries out an analysis of the possible impacts, based on the perception that the community under study has about tourism and tourists. Monitoring and evaluation help assess how well things are being done in order to help do better.en_US
