Resumen
En el competitivo mundo empresarial de hoy el éxito depende cada vez más de una gestión
humana eficaz a nivel de las posiciones individuales de trabajo, sobre todo las directivas, al
constituir estos los responsables de liderar las organizaciones orientadas al logro de las
metas propuestas. Particular importancia tiene en este contexto, el desarrollo del enfoque
de gestión por competencias desde la perspectiva del alineamiento estratégico, la
prospectiva y el enfoque situacional. En correspondencia con ello en el presente trabajo se
exponen un conjunto de consideraciones sobre los fundamentos teórico metodológico para
la identificación de las competencias directivas, a partir de reconocer a esta fase como
básica en el proceso de gestión de las mismas. El marco metodológico propuesto para la
identificación de competencias directivas incluye la realización de un análisis contextual
como punto de partida en este tipo de estudio, que abarca elementos externos e internos lo
que contribuye a garantizar la pertinencia de las mismas, la introducción de herramientas
de prospectiva al estudiar las competencias organizacionales y presupone el alineamiento
estratégico de las mismas; establece además un conjunto de criterios y premisas cuya observación en trabajos de este tipo elevarán la calidad de los resultados.
