Estrategia de internacionalización en casa para la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas

Resumen
El proceso de internacionalización en la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, comienza a concebirse de manera estratégica e integrada hacia toda la institución, a partir de su reciente inserción en el proyecto internacional Fortalecimiento de la Internacionalización. En función de contribuir con los objetivos estratégicos propuestos en este sentido, la presente investigación tiene como objetivo proponer una estrategia de internacionalización en casa para la UCLV orientada hacia la internacionalización del currículo y la gestión de la comunicación, coherente con todo el proceso estratégico de internacionalización. Ante ello, la comunicación, como proceso transdisciplinar, constituye un componente esencial de la estrategia.
Desde una perspectiva mixta, con diseño anidado o incrustado concurrente de modelo dominante se recolectan datos en la institución siguiendo los criterios de muestreo básico para métodos mixtos. Se emplearon como técnicas: la revisión bibliográfica documental, el análisis de documentos, la observación participante, la entrevista semiestructurada y la encuesta. Los datos fueron triangulados en el proceso de análisis y permitieron conocer el estado actual de la internacionalización en casa y a partir de ahí proponer la estrategia.
Como parte del análisis de resultados se constató que al ser un proceso recientemente iniciado solo se han realizado transformaciones en la Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales y seleccionados los currículos a internacionalizar. Con respecto a la comunicación intercultural, esta no se incluye como un componente intencionado en el proceso de gestión de la comunicación de la UCLV. La estrategia, por su parte, comprende siete objetivos generales a los cuales tributan veinte acciones.
The process of internationalization at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, begins to be conceived strategically and integrated towards the whole institution, from its recent insertion in the international project Strengthening of Internationalization. In order to contribute to the proposed strategic objectives in this regard, the present research aims to propose a strategy of internationalization at home for the UCLV oriented towards the internationalization of the curriculum and the management of communication, consistent with the entire internationalization strategic process. Given this, communication, as a transdisciplinary process, constitutes an essential component of the strategy. From a mixed perspective, with nested or concurrently embedded design of dominant model, data is collected in the institution following the basic sampling criteria for mixed methods. The following were used as techniques: documentary bibliographic review, document analysis, participant observation, semi-structured interview and survey. The data was triangulated in the analysis process and allowed to know the current state of internationalization at home and from there to propose the strategy. As part of the analysis of results, it was found that since it was a recently initiated process, transformations have only taken place in the International Relations Department and the curricula to be internationalized have been selected. With regard to intercultural communication, this is not included as an intentional component in the communication management process of the UCLV. The strategy, on the other hand, includes seven general objectives to which twenty actions are taxed.
