Resumen
El presente trabajo de diploma realiza un análisis de la presencia de los cánones
estilísticos y tipológicos del movimiento Ecléctico en la vivienda medianera de la
mediana y pequeña burguesía en la ciudad de Cienfuegos. Este pretende identificar las
variantes del eclecticismo en cuanto a diseño interior, conformando un registro con
dataciones del repertorio doméstico en la ciudad. Es prestada especial atención a la
evolución estilística en cuanto los elementos ornamentales como máxima expresión de
este estilo; analizando elementos divisorios entre sala y saleta, cubiertas, pisos,
carpintería, herrería, revestimientos y otros elementos decorativos.
Las diferentes variantes serán analizadas, realizándose primeramente una descripción
breve de las características socioeconómicas del período donde se enmarca. Será
analizada una muestra representativa del repertorio doméstico permitiendo localizar
elementos en común y distintivos entre las vertientes del eclecticismo; apoyando esta
información con fotografías y gráficos.
