Resumen
El desarrollo del turismo en el país aumenta cada año, por lo que la ciudad de Remedios está llamada a ser un polo turístico de importancia provincial y nacional.
Su cercanía al polo turístico de la Cayería Norte de Villa Clara, posibilita el desarrollo del turismo de ciudad, naturaleza, cultural e histórico; lo que potencia a la ciudad de Remedios declarada Monumento Nacional, como importante eslabón para el desarrollo de este sector.
Por tal motivo se favorece el estudio de propuestas para la preservación del patrimonio arquitectónico y del estado de conservación de sus inmuebles, posibilitando el uso más idóneo de cada uno de ellos según sea el caso, en aras de su conservación y balance funcional.
En este sentido y teniendo en cuenta el déficit de las capacidades de alojamiento para el turismo que hoy presenta la ciudad de Remedios, se propone este proyecto que permitirá rehabilitar uno de los edificios de mayor importancia que se encuentra fuera del centro histórico y combinarlo con una nueva inserción que tiene como objetivo principal lograr un mayor número de habitaciones.
Para la realización de este proyecto se llevó a cabo una investigación relacionada con el tema hotelero que demuestra la factibilidad de la misma. Se realiza un análisis de conceptos, documentos, definiciones básicas sobre la intervención en inmuebles con valores patrimoniales, así como un estudio de repertorio nacional e internacional. Se elabora además una aproximación al programa arquitectónico que contempla el análisis de sitio, líneas de deseo, indicadores técnicos económicos, entre otros aspectos de importancia. Por último, se presentan los resultados de diseño con documentación técnica y una propuesta final de presupuesto necesario para su ejecución, que indica su posible factibilidad en el contexto del propio desarrollo local.
