From the celebration of the Summit of Rio de Janeiro in 1992, the politics of sustainable development was high toward the highest level like the goal toward which you/they should go all and each one of the nations of the planet. It is for this reason that recently it is heard speak of the terms ecotourism or responsible tourism and the sustainability concept applied to the field of the tourism. The idea of applying these concepts and definitions arises because every time they are more the facilities of the tourist type that are believed in protected areas, reserve of the biosphere or that they constitute the humanity's patrimony, and that not all have inside its politics a commitment of taking care, to protect and to maintain the means in that you/they are. The green areas and forests constitute fundamental part in these protected areas and their study and conservation they become necessary, stiller when the same ones pass to be part of the facilities of tourist character. In the case of Cuba and more specifically in the pole tourist Keys of Villa Clara becomes necessary to apply these concepts due to the natural characteristics that categorize it as fragile system, through a characterization and diagnostic of the same ones. Presently work is carried out a diagnostic to the external areas of the hotel facilities of the destination tourist Keys of Villa Clara with a focus in the sustainability and the environmental protection of the same ones.
