| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación persiguió caracterizar la representación social que sobre el portal Intranet UCLV presentan los estudiantes de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de las Villas a través de las tres dimensiones de esta categoría: la actitud, la información y el campo de representación. El estudio aborda los postulados teóricos fundamentales para comprender las representaciones sociales así como un breve a cercamiento a la inserción de las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación en las universidades mediante la creación de los portales de Intranet. La metodología utilizada se adscribe a la alternativa metodológica mixta con un predominio del paradigma cuantitativo. Se utilizaron como técnicas de obtención de información: la entrevista semiestructurada, el cuestionario y la asociación libre de palabras. Dentro de los principales resultados puede apreciarse que la representación social que los estudiantes universitarios tienen de portal Intranet UCLV es predominantemente polémica. Referido a las dimensiones, los estudiantes presentan una actitud positiva reconociendo la utilidad y funcionalidad del portal, un grado de información basado en los niveles de uso de sus opciones y un núcleo central que lo define como una herramienta informativa. Se recomienda comunicar los resultados alcanzados al Grupo de Comunicación de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, con el fin de implementar sus resultados y poder perfeccionar los servicios brindados por el portal Intranet UCLV, tomando en consideración la representación social del estudiantado. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | This investigation pursues the characterization of the social representation the students of the Central University „Marta Abreu‟ of Las Villas have about UCLV‟s Intranet portal, via the 3 dimensions of this category: attitude, information and the field of representation. The study addresses fundamental thepretical positions in an effort to understand the social representations as well as a brief overview as to the insertion of New Technologies of Information and Communication in the Universities through the creation of Intranet portals. The methodology employed ascribes to the mixed methodological alternative where the quantitative paradigm dominates. Techniques used in the recollection of data include: Semistructured interview, questionnaire, and free association of words. Within the principal results it can be appreciated that the social representation that university students have about UCLV‟s Intranet portal is predominantly polemic. In reference to the dimensions, the students have a positive attitude recognizing the usefulness and functionality of the portal, a degree of information based on the levels of use of their options and a central nucleus the is defined as an informative tool. It is recommended that the results obtained be communicated to the Communication Group of the Central University „Marta Abreu‟ of Las Villas, with the objective of implementing these results and being able to perfect the services brought by the UCLV Intranet portal, taking into consideration the social representation of the students. | en_US |
