Resumen
This major paper goes deep into the theory of the communicative language
teaching in the present Cuban Secondary Schools, specifically in the
development of the oral expression skill in English in seventh grade. The
students belonging to this level should end up the grade with an elementary level
of communicative competence which enables them to communicate themselves
freely with certain autonomy. This research was thoroughly carried out in “Julio
Pino Machado” a secondary school in Jose Martí, Santa Clara, and the students
selected belong to the group in which the author works. To carry out this
research different instruments and techniques were used taking into account the
following methods; empirical methods and theoretical methods. The practical
implementation of the proposal of communicative activities to develop the oral
expression skill in seventh grade students has shown positive results in the
development of oral abilities among the students, attaining the objectives to what
it was originally designed for. This work consists of three main parts:
Introduction, Development and, Synthetic conclusions that respond to the
scientific tasks previously outlined in the introduction
