dc.description.abstractLas preferencias actuales del mercado turístico internacional hacia espacios rurales, poseedores de importantes valores ambientales, que permitan el relax en la naturaleza y el desarrollo de multitud de actividades turísticas, unido a los problemas de desarrollo que enfrentan las comunidades rurales, ha llevado a considerar el turismo rural como una alternativa capaz de ofrecer nuevos productos turísticos atractivos y que contribuye al desarrollo rural. Para la generación de negocios turísticos sostenibles en estos espacios es necesario previamente la concepción de variados proyectos. Por tanto la presente investigación se centra en la concepción de un proyecto de turismo rural como iniciativa local para el Valle de Jibacoa, en el municipio Manicaragua, Villa Clara, que posibilite el aprovechamiento de los recursos turísticos existentes. Para ello se analizaron diferentes metodologías en la bibliografía consultada, decidiéndose la aplicación de la propuesta por Zamora et al. (2012) ya que agrupa los elementos fundamentales a considerar en la concepción de un proyecto turístico y es además la que mejor se adecúa al procedimiento establecido para la presentación de proyectos de iniciativa municipal de desarrollo local en Cuba. Su aplicación permitió identificar una demanda latente por actividades de turismo rural en el destino Villa Clara y la existencia de recursos turísticos rurales en el Valle de Jibacoa con potencial para satisfacer esta demanda, no obstante las problemáticas para desarrollar la actividad turística, demostrándose como solución factible la Creación de la Cooperativa Agroturística Jibacoa, que asegura la gestión local de la actividad turística.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe current preferences of the tourist international market of rural spaces with environmental values that allow the relax in the nature and the development of several tourist activities, along with the economic and social problems of rural communities, have conduced to consider the rural tourism as an alternative that can offer new tourist products and that contributes to the rural development at the same time. For the beginning of tourist sustainable businesses in these spaces is necessary, previously the conception of several projects. Therefore the present research is focused in the conception of a project of rural tourism, as local initiative, for the Valley of Jibacoa, in the municipality Manicaragua, Villa Clara that facilitates the use of the existent tourist resources. For this goal were analyzed different methodologies in the bibliography, opting the application of the proposal of Zamora et al. (2012) since it contains the fundamental elements that should be taken into consideration in the conception of a tourist project, being also the methodology that is more useful for design a project of local development in Cuba. Their application allowed to identify a latent demand for activities of rural tourism in the Villa Clara tourist destination and the existence of rural tourist resources in the Valley of Jibacoa with potential to satisfy this demand, nevertheless the economic and social problems, demonstrating as feasible solution the creation of a tourist cooperative that assures the local management of the tourist activity.en_US
